Our Beliefs

Unitarian Universalism, encourages you to bring your whole self: your full identity, your questioning mind, your expansive heart.
Together, we create a community more powerful than one person or one belief system. As Unitarian Universalists, we do not have to check our personal background and beliefs at the door: we join together on a journey that honors the history and experiences we bring.
Our beliefs are diverse and inclusive. We have no shared creed. Our shared covenant puts Love at the center of our values. Though Unitarianism and Universalism are historically both liberal Christian traditions, our free and responsible search has led us to a spirituality that draws from six core shared values: justice, equity, transformation, pluralism, interdependence, and generosity. The sources of our faith draw from scriptural wisdom to personal experience to modern-day heroes.
Unitarian Universalists are open to a pluralistic approach to belief. We think for ourselves, and reflect together, about important questions:
- The existence of a Higher Power
- Life and Death
- Sacred Texts
- Inspiration and Guidance
- Prayer and Spiritual Practices
We are united in our broad and inclusive outlook, and in our values. We build our shared experience through: our open and stirring worship services, religious education for all ages, and rites of passage; our work for social justice; our efforts to assure the marginalized are included; and our expressions of love.
