To join us in person, come to our landmark building at 160 Central Park West (corner of 76th Street). Enter through our front doors on the right side and you will be greeted by our welcoming team. If you have children, the greeters will connect you with our religious education team, who will help orient your family. 

The service begins promptly at 11 a.m., and runs between an hour and an hour and fifteen minutes. We begin with some opening words that announce the theme of the day and with the lighting of our chalice, the symbol of UUism, which embodies our emphasis on the light of reason, the warmth of community, and the fire of commitment. Our minister, volunteer worship associates, and individual members explore that theme through a wide variety of music and hymns, readings, a reflection by the minister or guest speaker, a brief activity featuring the youngsters in religious education, and meditation or prayer.

Every service is enriched by vocal and instrumental music in many genres. On major holidays our volunteer choir adds a grander dimension. We always include a “community time” for greeting each other and sharing our joys and sorrows. We also take up an offering that supports both our congregation and a roster of non-profit organizations that share our values.

Following the service, you are welcome to stay for Coffee Hour — refreshments are a proud UU tradition. There’s plenty of time and space to sit and chat with members and visitors old and new. If you participate in our services online, we offer Virtual Coffee Hour the second and fourth Sunday of the month right after service.
