Returning to In-Person Services
After many months apart, we are excited to share our plan to return to in-person services and programming. We can’t wait to see you!
Please read the following below to learn more:
- We will return to in-person services on Homecoming Sunday, September 12th, 2021.
- For those outside New York City, we are installing a live-streaming system, which will operate via zoom much in the same way it has been. We may need your help to manage the online space. If you are interested and willing, we would love to hear from you!
- For religious education and the choir, we are planning on a soft open on August 22nd. Our hope is to have extra time to ensure safe practices, build community, and practice live-streaming for worship.
- We will do everything we can to ensure a safe, scientifically grounded return. While the situation may inevitably change between now and the fall, we are requiring vaccinations from all staff and forward-facing volunteers (health permitting) and anticipate requiring mask-wearing. To ensure proper airflow, we are installing a brand new HVAC system for our classrooms and have installed air scrubbers in the main sanctuary and gym. We will endeavor to go paperless as much as possible and are considering holding coffee hour outdoors.
Should you have any questions about our plans to return to in-person services, or our plans for the summer, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of our ministers or staff. We want the next few months to be full of transparency, safety, and joyous anticipation.
