A group of Fourth Universalist members and friends took part in the climate strike march on September 20th. We gathered at Community Church for a service led by Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray, president of the Unitarian Universalist Association. Several ministers from other Unitarian Universalist congregations spoke, including Fourth Universalist’s senior minister, Rev. Schuyler Vogel. Rev. Vogel marched with us from Foley Square to Battery Park, where we heard climate activist Greta Thunberg speak. She fired up the crowd with sobering facts about climate change, mixed with inspiring reports of the millions striking around the world for action. This event was just the beginning of our continued engagement in climate justice. To get involved in justice work at Fourth Universalist, contact Brian Kramer or Ben Fishman at justice@4thU.org.
