Welcome to Lower Elementary Religious Education at Fourth Universalist!

Below are some helpful details about what to expect on Sunday mornings if you have children aged 4 to Grade 2. Our Lower Elementary class is led by RE Assistant, Kirwin Seger. For more in-depth information about the nature and goals of our program, as well as our philosophy of religious education, check out our overview page here. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions (we are available by email at re@4thu.org). We hope to see you soon!

Lower Elementary- “Wisdom Tales and Wild Games” is for students aged 4 to Grade 2:

  • In Wisdom Tales and Wild Games, our young people in PreK(4) through Grade 2 can join RE Assistant Benedite Dieujuste in a class focusing on play and games as an instructional tool, which uses wisdom stories from various cultures and games unique to cultures to explore the stories we use to understand the world.

  • Please sign in your student(s) and make sure they get a nametag at the Religious Education Table near the entrance before the service begins.
  • Early in the service, students are invited to participate during A Time for All Ages, and then they are led to their respective Religious Education classrooms.
  • After the service, around 12:15, we ask that parents come down to the classrooms and observe social distancing while picking up their children. Please make sure to sign out your students.
  • You may drop your students off for Guided Play in the Gym from 12:45-1:30 PM if you wish. Again, please sign your student in and out.

If you are new to Fourth Universalist and would like more information, if you would like to join our teaching team, or if you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to Zachary Young, Director of Lifespan Religious Education at re@4thu.org.
