On Sunday, February 5th, 2017, our congregation voted unanimously to offer short term sanctuary to undocumented individuals and families facing deportation. As Unitarian Universalists, this decision was inspired by our values of justice and compassion.

We stand against politics of fear and divisiveness and instead embrace our great national heritage as a country of immigrants, diversity and refugee. We do not stand alone, but are grateful for the support and encouragement of neighboring congregations, Faith in New York, and our friends in the community.

If you have questions about this policy or are looking to get involved, please reach out to our Senior Minister, Rev. Schuyler Vogel at revschuyler@4thu.org. The resolution to become a sanctuary congregation is below.
