Join Interweave after work on Wednesday May 29th as we discuss the groundbreaking 1956 James Baldwin novel. The novel focuses on the life of an ex-patriate American man in Paris and his relationships with other men in his life, particularly an Italian bartender named Giovanni. We’ll meet for pizza and salad and lively conversation about the book. Giovanni’s Room is noteworthy for being one of the first American novels to bring complex representations of bisexuality, thereby fostering a broader public discourse regarding same-sex relationships.
