3:30 PM – 5:00 PM Rally at Battery Park
Please consider striking in solidarity with the children and youth of the world as
they call on world leaders to address climate change NOW.
As Bill McKibben of 350.org has noted, not everyone is able to strike — “some bosses would fire you: too many people can’t live without a day’s wages; and firefighters can’t very well take a day off.”
He goes on to say, “That just increases the urgency for people who can act…We need to try. There’s something fundamentally undignified about leaving our troubles to school kids to resolve.”
